Safety Information for Steel Collars

1. One must be careful putting on and removing the collars, as the design and material used (stainless steel 304) has a spring action that may cause injury if released in an uncontrolled motion.

2. Beware of any clasps or locks, as the same spring action may cause them to fly away uncontrollably. Use protective eyewear or any other protection deemed necessary to avoid injury.

3. As with any other jewelry worn around the neck, these collars can be a strangulation hazard to the people wearing them.

4. Stainless steel will heat quickly to flesh-burning temperatures if exposed to sunlight, a hot hair dryer, or any other hot device or temperatures.

5. Spiked collars can puncture the skin and cause injury to the wearer and others. Do not use them while sleeping.
